Contra Costa County Horsemen’s Association

High Point Rules:

1) Members only are eligible for year end High Point Awards.

2) Membership must be established before for first class of your first show.

(indicate at registration that you are riding High Point, and pay the $10.00)

3) High Point contestants must help with set-up of courses at events.

(we will remind you to help with at least 1 course at each event, if you fail

to heed that reminder, you will be docked 10 points for the day.)

4) High Point riders must attend a total of six meetings by the end of September.

Credit of one (1) meeting will be given in exchange for one day working the

snack shack, or duties in and around the announcers booth, and gates, at any

event. This can be done by the contestant, family member, or friend. You

may only receive up to four days meeting credit in this manner. The rest must

be completed by you. Such as, the High Point rider may also receive credit for

one meeting by attending a potluck.

5) The age you rode your first event at, is the age you will stay at for the season.

6) Points will be tabulated from your best three out of four shows.

7) Minimum show requirements may be filled by riding no fewer than two

playdays, for either high point category.

8) Show point combinations will be tabulated from, (1) your best 2 (two) C.S.H.A

days, and two playdays, or (2) two playdays, and one C.S.H.A, or (3) from three

playdays alone. ( Your best three out of four scores will be taken, these are the

minimum attendance requirements.)

9) In the event of less than four riders per time or age division, riders will be

combined.

Year end Buckles and awards to 5th place, and handed out at the awards banquet in October.
Only those members in good standing ( 6 months current membership, and meeting requirements met) will be eligible to win the “Deaton” memorial Buckles for fastest pole bending, and cloverleaf times. These too will be awarded at the banquet.
